2018 Is My Fucking Year

Okay, I know that I say this a lot.

But I actually mean it this time: 2018 is my fucking year.

I’ve done a lot of sitting and thinking and pondering and I’ve decided to say “fuck it”.

Here’s the things I’ve done since I last posted:

  • I started an internship.
  • I quit that internship.
  • I finally am legally living in the Netherlands.
  • I started a freelance business.
  • I re-committed to my freelance business.
  • I planned out my goals and hopes and dreams.
  • I decided that I want to re-commit to this blog in as low key of a way as possible.

That last bullet point pertains to you, the non-existent reader.

That’s right: I’m re-opening this blog after I let it die as life got in the way.

What the fuck are you talking about?

I know I’ve been a trash human and haven’t updated this POS since fucking October. But now that I’m writing full-time as a freelancer, I’ve realized that I need to have a fucking written outlet for my stress. And since I think my stress is similar to what a lot of millennials are feeling, I’m doing it in blog form.

I want to have a place to write about being a vegan, being broke, being an expat, and being young. I want to have a little bit of an internet archive for me myself and I, and I want to commit to it.

I’m also struggling because everything I’m writing about right now is pretty boring, if I’m being honest. I want something that’s a little more fun and relatable, not as sterile and career-focused as my business blog.

Everything else in my life is so serious right now, and I just want a public platform to complain on.

So here I am. Welcome back, bitches. I think this is my third attempt at launching a side hustle blog and I’M GOING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN, DAMMIT.
